FP7
Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development was established by the Decision No. 1982/2006/EC of the European Parliament and the Council and it was adopted on 18th December 2006. It is the largest programme of the Union with a budget which amounts to more than 50 billion € for the period from 2007 to 2013.
FP7 is a financial instrument of the European Union used for funding research and development in Europe and other parts of the world. The purpose of this programme is to pursue ambitious goals of the European Union which are formulated in the Lisbon Agenda. FP7 consists of four sub-grants for different types of activities which are linked to research and development areas. These are: the activities for the support or research coordination, activities for strengthening research capacity and building as well as maintenance of networks. This programme supports pioneer research i.e. the mobility of researchers.
Who can participate?
Many relevant institutions can apply for the FP7 calls for proposals. These are:
• Universities
• Research Centers
• Companies - especially small and medium companies
• Independent researchers and other types of institutions.
How to participate?
Individuals and organizations that are willing to participate in FP7 programme send their project proposals by applying for the calls for proposals which are announced on the Portal for researchers under FP7 column.
Responsible body for coordination of this programme at the national level is the Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Sports.
