CIP EKO
Eco initiative is primarily related to the organizations which have developed ecological product, service or process, but which have not yet been placed on the market because of residual risk. This initiative is focused on overcoming these obstacles so that these products and processes become the success of future European eco-innovations. The application is opened for all legal entities with headquarters in Croatia or one of the EU countries, but small and medium enterprises have an advantage.
Consortiums of applicants and projects which demonstrate an added Europan value and have a strong potential for improving market operation are preferred. These are for example innovative, eco-friendly projects in the field of material recycling (better ways of processing, innovative recycling products), sustainable buildings (innovative processes in the construction and manufacturing), processes in industrial production of food and beverages (waste reduction, recycling), green business and smart purchasing.
In order to be approved for funding, projects must have an innovative character and significant positive effects on the environment. They also have to provide the possibility of wider usage, need to
demonstrate added European value and international dimension of the project as well as they need to be well thought out from the technical perspective and the perspective of project management.
The national authority for CIP EIP program on the national level is the Ministry of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship.
