NEWBRAIN PLUS

NEWBRAIN PLUS is the continuation of the NEWBRAIN project in 2022 under the leadership of the Central Adriatic Port Authority (ITA). This project seeks to promote and improve the NEWBRAIN transnational strategy, which identified a list of common areas of interest for strengthening transnational institutional cooperation during the new programming period (2021-2027). NEWBRAIN PLUS also refers to the conclusions of the Policy Paper document achieved under the ADRION Thematic Cluster 4 "Integrated Multimodal Sustainable Water and Land Transport", the main goal of which is to realise a public event in Ancona aimed at engaging European, macro-regional and national stakeholders in a high-level debate over the role of the Adriatic-Ionian transport and logistics nodes for the connection between the South Eastern Mediterranean and the western and central EU regions, with a view on how the pandemic has changed the interaction between players and economic actors in the field of transport and logistics.

The strong cooperation established by the partners within the NEWBRAIN project and the cross-sectoral competences and experiences they represent ensure the effective achievement of the goals of the NEWBRAIN PLUS project. The Intermodal Transport Cluster participates in the project in the project partner role.

The NEWBRAIN PLUS project is co-financed by the Interreg ADRION Programme funded under the European Regional Development Fund and IPA II fund. 

The total project budget amounts to € 149.365,01;
application for ERDF/IPA II funding amounts to € 126.960,26.
