About the Cluster
Intermodal Transport Cluster was founded in 2005 as a Croatian Shortsea Promotion Centre with a goal of promoting and developing of shortsea shipping in the Republic of Croatia. Intermodal Transport Cluster as a non-profit organisation was founded after signing a Cooperation Agreement between Croatian Shortsea Promotion Centre and Pro-Rail Alliance, Association of Ship Brokers and Agents of Croatia, Inland Navigation Development Centre Ltd and Association of Croatian Road Hauliers. Cluster is founded on the initiative of the Croatian Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure and its members are all maritime port authorities, operators, Croatian railways, bigger agents and transporters as well as other transport stakeholders.
Cluster today deals with three basic activities. These are: promotion, developmental projects and informatization of intermodal transport service. In the Cluster, we are trying to encourage the development of a complete intermodal transport system through common activity areas as a relation between economic sector and state bodies. Among that, our goal is to increase participation of intermodal transport in Croatian transport system as well as to provide information and help with project creation to EU fund users.
